Pizza anyone? Oh you meant Pisa. They don't do delivery from Pisa so we'll have to do a take away. The seven and a half hour flight to Munich on Luftansa, followed by a one hour flight to Pisa which took us on a routing over the Dolomite
Mountain range. Snow; capped the higher peaks but the sun shone brightly
on the many green valleys and small towns which dotted the valley
hillsides below. It was only 7 Celsius in Munich and going to reach a balmy 15
upon arrival in Pisa. We'll travel another 1/2 hour by train
to Lucca where we will spend our first three nights prior to joining our
small walking group on Sunday. The wanderlust has struck again and we
are really looking forward to our first hiking/walking trip. We will
spend our first week with the group exploring different Tuscan
regions, followed by a self guided trek along the Cinque Terre trails and
paths bordering on the Mediterranean. I'm excited and we hope the
weather will cooperate, but if not, something tells me there will be a
lot of wine bars and trattorias to discover. As I know, some of you have
traveled to this region before, but I hope you will tag along and
hopefully our travel tales will rekindle your memories. Saluti
